Launching on August 2nd 2025, Shapeshift presents a curated online platform where artworks are offered for sale in support of gender-affirming care. The project offers a constellation of practices that speak to intimacy, haptics and embodied transformation.
The collection spans photography, print, sculpture, painting, performance relics and drawing, featuring artists such as Jesse Glazzard, known for raw, unflinching portraits that centre queer desire and vulnerability; Spyros Rennt, whose erotic and diaristic photographs capture queer intimacy with stark immediacy and grainy texture; Ailsa Ogden, whose works on paper evoke corporeal tension and emotional residue through precise, gestural mark-making; and many more.
Each work offers a form of presence: from textural density to archival softness, from erotic confrontation to devotional lightness. The selection is guided less by fixed identity than by emotional acuity, material intelligence and shared frequencies of resistance, pleasure and transformation.
Shapeshift is a self-initiated platform that mobilises the art sale format to fund necessary healthcare. Some artists have donated 100% of proceeds, while others retain a percentage to support their own sustainability or cover production costs. In all cases, proceeds help fund Luca Asta’s medical transitioning costs. This hybrid model honours both the urgency of fundraising and the value of sustaining artistic labour, a win-win for community, artists and collectors alike.
Prices listed do not include shipping, which will be calculated and billed separately. Collection can be arranged.
All sales are processed transparently via Stripe. Buyers will receive confirmation, followed by direct communication regarding shipping logistics or collection. Any questions can be directed to: studio@lucaasta.com.
