About the artist
Janina Frye is a German artist based in Amsterdam. Her sculptural installations explore the porous boundary between intimacy and control, often drawing on materials such as latex, ceramics, and pneumatic systems. By investigating how emotional and somatic experiences are shaped by material and spatial structures, Frye’s work engages both the psychological and the physical. She holds an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art in London and a BA in Fine Art from AKV St. Joost. Her work has been shown internationally in solo, duo, and group exhibitions across Europe and Mexico.
