About the artist
Emil Lombardo is an Argentinian documentary photographer based between London and Paris. Initially self-taught, he later earned an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art in 2021. His work focuses on those pushed to the margins, with a particular emphasis on trans lives and the intersections between gender, migration, class, and inequality. Through portraiture and documentary storytelling, Emil creates images that are both intimate and political, aiming to inform, affirm, and inspire.
His work has been exhibited internationally, including in the UK, France, the USA, and Brazil, at venues and festivals such as Paris Photo, Peckham 24, and the Saatchi Gallery.
