About the artist
Richard Otparlic (b. 1993) is a Paris-based artist of Romanian descent whose practice blends ritual, queerness, and social transformation. A graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Paris, he works across installation and performance to create participatory, emotionally charged environments.
He is a founding member of BIENVENUE, a queer collective exploring ecological and cultural mutations through public workshops and exhibitions. His work has been shown at the Centre Pompidou, Lafayette Anticipations, and the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam.
